Blair Upper Cervical

Gentle, specific adjustments made to the upper neck.

Gentle, specific adjustments made to the upper neck.

The Blair Technique uses gentle, specific adjustments made to the upper neck. The upper cervical (neck) region is particularly important to nervous system function for several reasons. Firstly, the top two bones in the neck are the most movable and carry more weight in relationship to their size than other areas of the spine. This makes them more susceptible to misalignment. Secondly, the nerves in this area are larger and carry more information than any other spinal region. The brainstem itself also descends into the spinal column here, which makes any misalignment in this area very serious. These techniques use special x-rays to determine the exact misalignment of cervical bones and allow the doctor to customize the adjustment based on your unique anatomy.
